Returns & Refunds
We understand that sometimes circumstances change and you might need to return an item. As long as your product is returned in its original unused condition in original packaging with proof of purchase, we will happily exchange or refund for you.
Returns can only be made on prior agreement with UK Parts Direct. You should return any product to us, using a suitable insured means based on the value of the product. You should retain any receipt confirming the return. If returned products are lost we will not be liable for them. You are responsible for the costs associated with returning the product to us.
We have created this 30 day returns policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have (such as rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
UNWANTED PRODUCTS - WITHIN 30 DAYS OF DELIVERY
The regulations allow you to inspect the product to some extent, as you would be able to in a shop, before deciding whether to keep it.
They do NOT entitle you to USE the product.
Where you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us where:
- we receive the returned product within 30 days following the date of purchase of the product.
- the returned product is unused and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.
- the returned product is complete (returned with all associated items) and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.
- the returned product is in its original packaging (with any seal or shrink-wrap intact) and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.
- the returned product has any labels still attached, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new.
- you comply with the returns procedure set out below; and - none of the exclusions set out below apply.
**We reserve the right to download the data from the In-Built Dataloggers that only we can access of any returned Diagnostic Tools, to confirm that the tool has not been used**
If any returned product has been used, we have the right to deduct a reasonable amount from the refund to reflect the reduction in resale value of the product.
Certain products we supply in sealed bags, to allow them to be inspected as in a shop, while guaranteeing they are not used. If such a product is returned once opened, it will be considered used (even if there is no visible damage) and a reasonable amount from the refund may be deducted to reflect the resale value of the product.
In the case of returned products that cannot be re-sold once they have been used, we have the right to deduct 100% of the product value from the refund, as the product will now have no re-sale value.
RETURNS PROCEDURE
In order to take advantage of your rights under this returns policy, you must:
- Notify us if you wish to return a product either via post (at return address shown below) or via email at returns@ukpartsdirect.com
- Ensure that the returned product is sent, via an insured means based on the value of the product, to:

You will be responsible for paying postage costs associated with returns under this policy.
EXCLUSIONS
The following kind of products may not be returned under this policy:
- Goods made / programmed to your specification;
- Goods made to order;
- Goods which have been specially ordered at your request;
- Glass Parts;
- Hazardous parts where the seals are not intact;
- Hazardous/explosive parts (and any parts included in the Dangerous Goods Act) that are not in their original packaging;
- Goods that have already been used or fitted;
- Goods with damaged original packaging and/or which are not in a resaleable condition;
- Goods with were purchased as part of a promotion or marketing campaign;
- Gift vouchers.
- any other Goods identified to you by us or our Agent.
UNWANTED PRODUCTS - AFTER 30 DAYS OF DELIVERY
We are not obliged to accept the return of an unwanted product after the 14 day period mandated by the Consumer Contracts Regulations has expired but we can accept returns at our discretion.
Contact us to find out if this is possible for your case. Any goods returned must be unopened and in a re-saleable condition and may be subject to a minimum administration and handling fee of 20% of the invoice value.
You will be responsible for the cost of safe carriage back to us. Postage and packaging costs are non-refundable.
DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE OR FAULTY PRODUCTS
UK Parts Direct will repair or replace any product that has failed in normal usage within the stated Manufacturer’s Warranty Period, provided the product has been used as intended and does not, on examination, display any signs of misuse.
Should we attempt to repair the product and find that no inherent manufacturing fault exists, we will return the product to you and reserve the right to charge up to 20% of the product's selling price to cover the cost of the testing process.
If you are dissatisfied with the quality of the product or the product is damaged or wrongly supplied, you must give written notice to UK Parts Direct within 14 working days of delivery and we will arrange to refund or replace the product.
Should you need to return a product due to an error on our part, we will exchange or refund the product for you. We will also refund any reasonable associated carriage costs.
